Classic açai bowl

Granola and banana is the preferred topping of the açai-eaters of Rio de Janeiro, so here’s our take on the Brazilian classic.

Serves one.

Ingredients

  • 300 g açai purée (3 packs)

  • 50 ml nut milk (we recommend brazil nut)

  • Squeeze of honey / dash of date syrup (to sweeten)

  • Nut butter, granola, banana (to top)

You will also need a blender.

Method

  1. Run the un-opened packs of açai purée under a tap until slightly soft and you can break them up with your hands.

  2. Blend everything non-açai into a smooth paste.

  3. Add your pre-broken açai and blend again until smooth and glossy - add more nut milk if necessary.

  4. Pour into a bowl, top with banana, granola and nut butter.

  5. Grab a spoon and enjoy!
